Foamed polyethylene is used to protect plastic, copper or steel pipes with a diameter of 6 to 160 mm. The very thickness of the insulating layer can fluctuate from 6 to 32 mm. The polymer is used quite often, because it is produced in convenient rolls (that is, it can be used to insulate large diameters) and has a perfectly acceptable price. It is mainly used to protect air conditioning systems, sewage, chimneys, heating and internal water supply. Isolated pipes are operated longer thanks to protection against external factors: temperature and moisture drops. They do not freeze and do not overheat, and also isolation helps to reduce noise in the pipes. It will also not be superfluous and repair your car, you should visit the site
The only minus of polyethylene is its ignorance and support of combustion. But the advantages of the material still prevail: it is available in price, easily processed (cut, mounted), is not exposed to chemicals, withstands temperature range from -40 to +70 s. Thanks to these properties, foamed polyethylene is used for internal and external works, as well as underground. When using this material, a decrease in energy costs is noted, since it has low heat conductivity, because it mainly consists of air. In addition, polyethylene is moisture resistant and absorbs noise.
