Any house needs a foundation, and the stronger it is, the longer the house will spin. So do not save on the foundation. A wooden house is no exception and requires a good foundation.
For the construction of a house from a log house, a column foundation is often built. Concrete pillars are installed in dug pits, on which wooden walls are subsequently installed. The disadvantage of such a foundation is the inability to build a basement that would come in handy in the household.
The strip foundation solves the problem of the absence of the basement. Today it is customary to use a method in which concrete is not poured into ready -made trenches, but concrete blocks are laid. With the help of this method, the foundation is being built much faster. It is worth it to drive an excavator to the place of the building, which is digging up to you a trench in a matter of time. Pour sand on the base of the trench, and lay concrete slabs on top with a lifting installation.
The disadvantage of such a foundation is the cracks between the blocks. They should be well waterproof. Good waterproofing is expensive, and it is not always enough for many years.
There is another way to lay a strip foundation. To do this, the sand mixed with gravel is filled on the bottom of the foundation, concrete is poured over it. The foundation should be poured in layers. In this way they get a strong foundation of the strip type.
It is in such a foundation that you can build a sink of the desired depth.
