In any apartment, completely new or requiring repair, the walls are far from ideal. More precisely, even, because only any finishes will fall on the smooth surface, and vice versa – no textured wallpaper will hide obvious defects of the wall. There are only two ways to align walls today – raw and dry.
Raw implies the use of building mixtures, in other words – plaster. It will be most effectively “working” if the irregularities of the walls do not exceed 5 cm. From above – it is also possible, but very hardened. The disadvantages of the raw method are primarily attributed to the complexity of the process, including all the stages, in addition to plastering (primer, installation of beacons, putty and grinding).
A dry alignment method is a metal frame trimmed with drywall. Optimal for large irregularities (over 5 cm), t. To. able to hide even, for example, protruding reinforcement. In addition, inside the drywall structure, you can lay a layer of heat – and sound insulation, hide communications and electrical wiring.
Compared to the raw method, dry does not pull a lot of debris and dirt, it is much less expensive in time, but has two significant drawbacks: it occupies an additional area of the room and still does not have the same “endurance” as a plastered wall, so hang on Gypsum -plane wall heavy objects and devices are not recommended.
