To decorate the glass, the best result will be a matte coating. To achieve this effect, there are two methods: etching with smelting acid or the use of compositions made on liquid glass.
When sailing with acid, matte surfaces are even, with inconspicuous errors when applying. When using compositions based on liquid glass with the addition of dyes, the result will be the same, however, it is necessary to observe accuracy – any error will leave noticeable defects on the surface.
Decor using liquid glass -based compounds
This technology of decor of glass surfaces will make the application of tinted means. For this, dyes diluted in water are used, such as soot, security, ultramarin and others. With any of the methods, trial staining is necessary for the exact selection of shade.
For example, you can apply fifteen parts of purified water, diluting them with ten parts of liquid glass, where eight parts of sulfate of barium are added later. The precipitate dropped as a result of the reaction is washed, dried and rubbed. Also, the composition of the diluted liquid glass with the addition of dental powder in clean water can be an option. Both solutions are used the same: the glass for processing is degreased, washed and dried. The paint is applied using a rubber roller dipped in the solution. After applying the paint, the glass is dried and washed again with water.
